How we chose: We looked for iPhone apps built to log migraine attacks and ranked them on five criteria: how quickly an attack can be logged, whether pressure and weather are part of the record, what you can bring to a doctor, how data is handled according to the App Store privacy label, and price and upkeep as listed on the App Store on September 26, 2026. Facts about other apps come from their App Store pages. Miggry is made by Lucernel, the publisher of this page.
What a migraine app should do
A good migraine app makes logging possible on a bad day, keeps the context of each attack (sleep, meals, medication, weather) and turns weeks of entries into something a doctor can read in a minute. It should also be careful with patterns: a trigger seen twice is a coincidence, not a cause.
If weather is your suspicion, look for the change in pressure, not only the level. In a year-long diary study, attacks were more frequent around days when pressure fell by more than 5 hPa.
Privacy is part of the choice
A migraine diary is health data. The App Store privacy label on each app page says what is collected and whether any of it is used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Read it before you start logging months of attacks.
Free or paid
Every app here is free to download, but the analysis that makes a diary useful is often part of a subscription. Compare what the free version keeps, and check whether you can export your records if you stop paying.
